Since 2007, AIDS Calgary Awareness Association’s board of directors has given out the Leader for Life award. The purpose of this award is to recognize significant contributions made by past supporters of ACAA including previous directors, staff, funders/donors, elected officials, celebrities, HIV/AIDS workers, researchers and volunteers. To be considered for the award, all potential inductees must have actively supported ACAA or have been working in the field of HIV/AIDS in some meaningful capacity for a minimum of five years. The recipient is selected annually by the ACAA Board of Directors.
