Volunteer Challenge 2010 is a wrap!
Thank you to all of our volunteers for making the 2010 Volunteer Challenge a huge success!
Our goal this year was to provide fun and unique events throughout the summer for our volunteers to learn more about HIV/AIDS, share their creativity with us and support the agency’s programs.
Our goal was to have 100 individuals participate over the course of the Challenge and we are thrilled to report you have helped us reach this goal! 110 Volunteers gave 214 hours during the 2010 Volunteer challenge.
Sharing your time with us means we can all continue to promote AIDS Calgary’s mission of reducing the harm associated with HIV/AIDS for all individuals. You did this by attending workshops and discussion groups on topics that are directly related to HIV/AIDS, participating in awareness raising activities like signing banners and decorating t-shirts and supporting prevention efforts by making thousands of condoms packs. It’s been a fantastic summer and we hope you enjoyed taking part in this year’s Challenge!
Special congratulations to our Volunteer Challenge winners this year! Two names were drawn at our Walk Kick off party last week and they both walked away with a great prize.
Thank you again to everyone and congratulations on your amazing contributions this summer!
