Director, Communications & Resource Development This newly created position requires a leader with experience in managing communications and resource development initiatives. Use your strong management and team skills to lead three full-time staff and a number of contractors. Work together to develop strategies and experience successes in ensuring that AIDS Calgary communicates effectively on a range of HIV/AIDS issues and develops the resources it requires to deliver needed HIV/AIDS programs. This senior management position places you in the Management Team with the Executive Director and two Team Leaders. You work closely with the Executive Director in overall agency management, and specifically in donor and funder relations. You provide marketing and communications consultation to the Team Leaders of our programs and services staff. As leader of the Communications & Resource Development Team, you and your staff are responsible for the agency's news releases, newsletter, website, annual report, annual general meeting, funding proposals, evaluations and reports, volunteer management program, and all agency fund raising initiatives and events. A Masters Degree and five years related nonprofit experience provide you with the skills and understanding to succeed. Your professionalism, outstanding writing and communication skills, healthy sense of personal boundaries, creativity, flexibility, and loyalty to the organization and its mission provide you with a multi-year opportunity for senior leadership and meaningful service.
